Striker 10-Under Team Wins 4th Game Of Season (09/28/14)

The CRVS U10 Green team met up with the Meadville Red team late Sunday afternoon looking for their fourth win of the season.

The Strikers started off strong with the first goal coming from midfielder Bailee Verdill who scored the goal from a corner kick! The Strikers scored again pretty quickly with the second goal coming from Lexi Coull with an assist from Verdill. The third goal was a hook-up between Niko Todorov who got the ball to Devon Lauer for the score. Devon had the assist on the next goal that went in off of Dawson Smail’s kick.

Meadville only got the ball past mid field a couple of times where Tyler Bingham was able to make a few stops and where the strong defenders of Kendall Dunn, Kaleb Wolbert and Derek Smail where able to do their jobs. The next two goals were scored by Bailee Verdill. One with an assist by Tyler Bingham, and the next one was unassisted. The Strikers went into halftime with a score of 6-0.

Dawson Smail came out after the half suited up for goalie, which let Tyler Bingham have some time up front. One slipped by Dawson to make the score 6-1. The next two goals came from Tyler Bingham with Devon Lauer with both assists. Meadville was able to get another one past the strong CRVS defense of Kaleb Wolbert and Kendall Dunn. Making the score 8-2.

The Strikers came back with another goal. This time from Niko Todorov who tapped it in from Bingham’s corner kick. Curt Womeldorf had several shots on goal the second half one appeared to be a definite goal but bounced of the post. One more goal was scored by Meadville when the ball just slipped through Smail’s fingers.

The final score of 9-3 gave the Striker U10 team their 4th win of the season. They are 4 and 0 and will travel to Meadville next Sunday.
