Girls Junior High Basketball Teams Fall To Forest Area (11/18/14)

The Girls Junior High Basketball Teams traveled to Marienville, on Tuesday (November, 18) to face the Forest Area Fires. Coach Dave Constantino shares the following recap:

Clarion falls to the Forest Fires

A game – Forest 21 Clarion 12

Clarion had a hard time finding their offense in Marienville as they struggled to find the basket, only making 5 baskets and two foul shots for the entire game. The game was tied at 4 after one and the Lady Cats were only down 4 at the half. However, they could only muster 5 points in the second half to fall to the Lady Fires. Courtney Reiner led the Lady Cats with 4 points, followed by Gabby Weaver and Wendy Beveridge with 3. Dorothy Kalinowski finished with 2.

B game – Forest 21 Clarion 11

Clarion played a solid first half and only found themselves down 10-8 at the half. However, they too found it to difficult to make a basket, only scoring three points in the last two quarters. Kaitlyn Constantino led the Cats with 4 points followed by Carly Best’s 3 points. Cassie Acey and Lindsey Kemmer with a bucket each.

Clarion will host Karns City on Thursday (November, 20) with the B game starting at 3:45.
