Varsity Boys Basketball Team Drops Decision To C-L, JVs Win (01/04/15)
The Clarion Bobcat Boys Basketball Teams hosted Clarion-Limestone on Friday Night (January 2nd). C-L won the Varsity match-up 81-43; the Clarion won the JV contest 49-28.
C-L used a strong inside game to lead 24-9 after one, 46-18 at the half and 63-30 after three.
Taylor Smith led Clarion with 19 points, including 3 three-pointers. Ceventh Lynch-Skunda had 7 points, Cam Craig scored 6 and Zach Hill had four. Christian Smith netted 3 and Thomas Plummer and Luke Nellis each had two points.
Dan Callen led the Lions with nineteen points. Three other Lions scored in double figures: R. J. Laugand, with 17, Kolton Stiglitz with 15 and Josh Kahle with eleven.
The Bobcat JVs led 13-5 after one, 26-13 and at the half. They stretched the lead to 41-20 after three.
The Anthony twins, Reed and Ryan led the Cats with each scoring in double figures. Reed had 15 points and Ryan had 11. Each had a three-pointer. Christian Smith had 8 points, including 2 treys. Ty Burford had seven points.
Luke Nellis, who had a dominating inside game, grabbing a number of rebounds, scored six points and Tom Hearst added two.
Devin Beers led the C-L JVs with eleven points.
Clarion play Venango Catholic, on Wednesday (January 7th).
