Lady Cats Split Track And Field Tri-Meet With Keystone And North Clarion (04/09/15)

The Clarion Area Girls Track and Field Team hosted Keystone and North Clarion in a Tri-Meet at Memorial Stadium, on Wednesday (April 8th). The Lady Cats downed Keystone 76-72 but fell to North Clarion 93.5 to 56.5.

Thrower Jenn Ochs was a triple winner against both schools. She won the shot put with a throw of 30-4.75. She shared the win in the discus with a thrower from North Clarion, at 82-5 and won the Javelin with a 112-3 mark.

Forest Mills was a triple winner against Keystone. She won the 400 in 1:07.4 and the 8oo Mills was joined by Chelsea Mason, Elizabeth Ketner and Emily Phillips  on the  4×800 relay which posted a 12:12.2 time. Mills won the 400 and placed third in the 800 against North Clarion. Clarion’s 4×100 relay, Emily Powers, Gabby Weaver, Devon Quinn and Hanna Phillips was also victorious against the Panthers, posting a time of 100.8.

Julie Kenneson won the high jump against both schools, going 4-8. Kenneson also finished third in the 300 hurdles against Keystone. Hannah Phillips tied for first against Keystone and had a third against North Clarion in the 100, with a time of 15.1. Katie Eustice won the 100 hurdles against Keystone and had a second against North Clarion, with a time of 18.9.

Gloria Kroh finished first and third in the 300 hurdles against Keystone and North Clarion respectively. Eustice finished second against Keystone and third against North Clarion in the same event while taking second against Keystone and third against North Clarion. Kroh won the triple jump against North Clarion and finished second against Keystone.

Maya Miller won the long jump against North Clarion and finished in a third place tie against Keystone. Weaver had a second and third in the 100 hurdles against Keystone and North Clarion respectively. Mason finished second and Clara Seiling had a third against Keystone, in the 1600.

Lili Frakes finished second against Keystone and third against North Clarion, in the 3200. Ketner finished third, in the 800, against Keystone. Zoe Shaffer finished third in the 400 against North Clarion. Maddie McNamara was third in the triple jump and tied for third, in the 200 against North Clarion. Nicki Glenn took third, in the high jump, against Keystone and Claire Saylor took third in the shot put against North Clarion.
