Liam Raehsler Victorious At Brookville Invite (04/14/15)

Clarion Area’s Liam Raehsler competed in the 17th Annual DeMans Team Sports Track and Fieled Invitational at Brookville High School on Saturday (April 11th).

Liam who was the only Bobcat to compete in this year’s event, which attracted athletes from 19 different schools, came away with a first place finish in his only event, the 1600. Raehsler’s winning time was 4:36. The race was run in a pretty strong wind.

Raehsler was the defending champion in the 3200, but chose to focus on the 1600, as it attracted faster runners.

DuBois’ Wes Russell and Cassidy O’Donnell won the Clint Puller Awards for outstanding performances. Russell won the 100 and placed second in the 200 and was also a member of the victorious 4×100 relay team. O’Donnell won both the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles and was a member of the champion 1×100 relay. She also was on the third-place 4×400 relay.
