The Knights ended the Bobcats’s season with a 10-0 (six inning) victory.

The game was close through five innings, with Eisenhower holding a one nothing lead, their only run up to that point coming in the botttom of the third. But they plated nine runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game.

The Cats had one hit, a single by Thomas Plummer, and pitcher Max Lane had a one-hitter through five innings.

Despite of the loss, this was a great season for the Cats, sporting a 14-5 record, winning the KSAC North Championship, and finishing second in District Nine Class-A.

(Congratulations on a fine season, Bobcats!!!!)

Eisenhower downed Greensburg Central Catholic 3-2, in the PIAA State Semifinal, on Thursday, June 4th, at Slippery Rock University.

(Interesting note: Ainsworth Field (formerly Athletic Field), which was home to Erie minor league baseball teams, hosted an exhibition game in 1923, between the Erie Moose Club and Bab Ruth’s All-Stars. The Babe hit a home run in that game.)
