Coyotes Do Well In Loss To Franklin – Gold (09/13/15)

The Forest / North Clarion Coyotes traveled to Oil City on Saturday (September 12th) to face the Franklin-Gold and played a very good game, despite falling short on the scoreboard. Coach Wally McClung shares this recap:

It was an outstanding defensive matchup, with the final score of Franklin Gold 6 – Forest/North Clarion 0

Defensively, despite being short-handed, the Coyotes did an amazing job. Nose tackle, Emily Aites, had a nice takeaway in the first quarter, but the offense was not able to capitalize.

The only score of the game came in the second half on an option play for Franklin-Gold. The two-point conversion attempt failed, with defensive back, Jake Eisenman getting a takeaway of his own.

All in all, I’d say it was a great performance by the kids. With illness keeping several starters from playing, the team had to make some adjustments and move players around to fill the voids. The younger players as well as the starters were asked to stepped up to the task and they performed well.
