Bobcats Drop Homecoming Game To Union (10/18/15)

The Clarion Area Varsity Football Team hosted Union, in the Homecoming game, on Friday (October 16th). The Golden Knights won 32-0, ending the Bobcats unbeaten KSAC Small School streak at 23 games.

Union scored on their first possession, when Dugan Gallagher, who ended with 144 yards rushing, ran in from ten yards out, with 4:24 left in the first quarter. The PAT was no good and The Knights led 6-0.

The Knights added two more scores, in the second quarter. Daniel Roberts scored on a one yard run, at 4:30 and then quarterback Lucas Bowser connected with Cole Morris on a 17 yard scoring strike, with thirty-nine seconds left, in the half. Both PATs failed. The Knights took an 18-0 lead into halftime.

At halftime the Cats crowned Madison Weaver the 2015 Homecoming Queen.

A fifteen yard scoring run by Bowser, with 6:19, in the third moved the score to 24-0. The Knights finished the scoring, when Gallagher ran in from eleven yards out, with 8:56 left in the game and Bowser hit Casey Confer for the conversion.

Josh Kriebel had a pass reception for twenty-eight yards for the Bobcats. Michael McClosky had 2 receptions for 16 yards.

The Bobcats travel to St. Marys on Friday (October 23rd).
