Basketball: Junior High Girls Drop Pair Of Games To Keystone (12/07/15)

(By Coach Dave Constantino)

8th Grade Game: Keystone 43 – Clarion 11

Clarion’s 8th grade team suffered a tough setback to a very talented Keystone team Monday (December 7th) afternoon in Knox. Keystone’s smothering defense had Clarion out of sorts in the opening half and Clarion found itself down 19-5 at the half. Things continued pretty much the same way in the second half as the Lady Panthers stretched their lead out comfortably. Kaitlyn Constantino led the Lady Cats in scoring with 6 points and was closely followed behind by Kyara Girvan’s 5 points.

7th Grade Game: Keystone 29 – Clarion 4

Keystone jumped out to an 18-2 halftime lead and never looked back in the first game Monday afternoon. The Lady Panther’s defense and team speed caused all sorts of problems for Clarion and led to numerous easy baskets. Sarah Clark and Brennah Copenhaver each scored 2 points for the Lady Cats.
Clarion will next be in action on Friday (December 11th) afternoon as they travel to Cranberry.
