Bobcat Grapplers down Kane (01/09/16)

The Clarion Area Bobcat Wrestlers traveled to Kane on Thursday (January 7th) and came away with a 49-16 win over the Wolves.

Adrian Weber (132) opened the scoring for the Cats, by registering a fall over Charles Gardener, in 3:17 in the night’s opening bout. Caleb Bailey fell by major decision at 138. Then Sterling Conner won by fall, at 3:37, in his bout at 145. Colton Rapp lost by fall at 152.

The Bobcats then registered three straight decisions. Prince Brooks won 10-4, at 160, Mike LeFay took his 170lb bout, 9-7 and Seth Nellis won 9-8, at 182.

After Alexander Burkhart received a forfeit win at 195, the Cats recorded two falls. Zach Sintobin won by fall, in just 13 seconds at 220 and at 285, Tom Wurster pinned his opponent in 1:31. Logan Dehner lost by fall at 106.

Alex Struble registered a 10-2 major decision at 113. There was no bout at 120. Ryley McMaster finished the scoring, by pinning his opponent at 4:44 in the bout at 126.

The Clarion Junior High Team lost the preliminary match 44-20.

There was no bout at 75. Cole Stutzman lost by fall at 80 pounds. Riley Slagle received a forfeit win at 85. There was no bout at 90.

Jeremiah Hartzell lost by fall at 1:24, in the 95 pound bout. No bout was wrestled at 100. Jeremiah Hartzell lost by fall at 95. There was no match at 100. Bobcat Ken Ross won by forfeit at 105, Then Kane won by forfeit at 110. There was no match at 115.

Kane won by forfeit at 122. There was no match at 130. Jordan Pezzuti lost a close 4-2 decision at 145. Ayden Wiles  lost by technical fall at 150. Kane received a forfeit win at 155.

Justin Goodman pinned his opponent at 165.Ben Smith, at 185 and Mat Coleman, at 210 won by forfeits and the Kane wrestler won by fall at 250.

The Bobcats will return to action on Tuesday (January 12th), as they host on Curwensville, on “Alumni Legends Return” night, with all former Clarion Area Wrestlers being encouraged to attend.
