(By Coach Nicole Painter)

The Clarion-Limestone Lions pulled off a 5-4 victory in overtime against Forest in a very hard fought match on Tuesday. C-L led it in the first half 1-0 off a goal by by Blake Phillips with an assist by Kyle Schonbachler. They started the second half off strong again. Blake Phillips had a well placed corner kick that resulted in Isaac Kim scoring off a header. Forest answered back with a goal of their own by Daniel Parret.

The game was pretty evenly matched throughout the rest of the half with a lot of back and forth scoring. C-L went on to score two more goals in regulation. Both of those goals came from Braden Peters. Forest would score three goals of their own to tie it up. Those goals are all credited to Jarrett Kahle. Regulation would end in a 4-4 tie. Halfway into the first overtime, Blake Phillips would score off a well placed free-kick into the far upper corner of the goal from just outside the 18 to end the game in a 5-4 victory for the Lions.
