On Saturday, September 3rd, the Forest-North Clarion (FNC) Coyotes bounced back in style from last week’s loss. With the FNC uniforms being all black, a fan was quoted as calling the Coyote defense ‘The Black Curtain’. The team certainly lived up to that name, as the Franklin-Gold team never gained enough yards for a first down. Franklin’s longest offensive play was for 3 yards.

The Coyote defense is anchored by defensive ends Owen Bauer and Drake Irwin, who were able to shut down all plays to the outside, along with great help from nine other players on the field. With that said, the 32 yard touchdown run by Dawson Hotchkiss (and 2 point conversion) was all that the FNC Coyotes needed. The final score was 8-0.

It was a great job by the entire Coyote team, as they now move to a record of 1-1.

Now, as they prepare for the week ahead, the Coyotes have their only home game of the season. The Coyotes play at North Clarion Junior/Senior High School on Saturday, September 10th, at 9AM against Franklin-Orange. Please come out and support the team.

(Thanks to Coach McClung for this article. Great work, Coyotes!!!! Keep it up!!!!)
