Basketball: Lady Cats Down Brookville, Fall To Cranberry (02/04/17)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats defeated the visiting Brookville Lady Raiders, 55-48, on Wednesday (February 1st).

Alexis Constantino led Clarion with twenty points. Wendy Beveridge had 14 points and Kaitlyn Constantino chipped in nine.

Brookville led 14-10, after one, but a 16-8 Clarion advantage, in the second, gave the Cats a 26-22 lead at halftime. Clarion outscored Brookville 11-7, in the third, to take a 37-29 lead going to the final stanza. Brookville had 19 points to Clarion’s 18 in the fourth to set the final.

Then on Friday (February 3rd), the Lady Cats fell to homestanding Cranberry, 57-39.

Beveridge and Alexis Constantino each had twelve points for the Lady Cats. Gloria Kroh had 7 points and Sadie Rudesyle dropped in six.

Emily Merryman had seventeen fro the Lady Berries.

The Lady Cats will travel to North Clarion on Tuesday (February 7th).
