Lady Cats Softball Team Goes 1-1 On Week, Downs Brookville (05/06/17)

The Clarion Area Softball Team downed Brookville 9-6 on Thursday (May 4th), to go 2-1 on the week after falling to Cranberry 3-1 on Wednesday (May 3rd).

Thursday’s game, at Weaver Park, saw the Lady Cats come back from a 5-0 deficit after half an inning. Cora Zerfoss hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first to make the score 5-1, Lady Raiders. Clarion scored a run in the second and two in the third, to pull to within a run at 5-4.

The Lady Cats scored five runs in the fifth, to set the 9-6 final.

Zerfoss also had a triple. Sadie Rudesyle had a triple and a double. Alexis Constantino had a triple and a single.

Sydney Kiser had a double and drove in a pair of runs and MaKenzie Ditullio had a double. Katelyn Constantino was the winning pitcher.

In the game at Cranberry on Wednesday, Kaitlyn Constantino went 2-for-3, scoring Clarion’s only run Ditullio drove her in.

Clarion will host Cranberry on Monday (May 8th).
