Clark Electric Moves To 4-0, With Wins Friday, Saturday Wins (06/07/17)

The Senior league Girls from  Clark Electric hosted Logue & Son/Rimersburg at Weaver park Friday, June 2nd.

With Clarion leading 5-0  in the second inning, Brenna Copenhaver singled and took 3rd on an error. Sarah Clark walked and Ava Kiser singled in Copenhaver.  Rebecca Ketner then drove in Clark and Kiser with a base hit. Abby Himes then drove in Ketner and Ava Cherico drove in Himes with consecutive base hits.

With the score 10-0 in the  3rd inning, Jordy Best walked,  Brenna Campbell  tripled to score Best, followed by a triple from Kylee beers to score Campbell. Cassidy McCray then doubled to score Beers. Copenhaver would singled to score McCray and Clark would single to score  Copenhaver.

Kylee Beers was on the mound for Clarion.  Final Score Clarion 15-0 in 3 innings.

On Saturday, June 3rd, Clark Electric would travel to Rimersburg to take on Rimersburg VFW .

Clarion would start the scoring in the top of the first when Jordy Best took first on a dropped third strike. Brenna Campbell took 1st on a error before Kylee Beers hit a triple to drive in Best and Campbell. Beers would then score on an error to make it 3-0.

Rimersburg VFW would score in the bottom of the first, with a hit by Sierre Salvo followed by a hit from Cassie Best to drive in Salvo to make it 3-1.

Clarion would score a run in the 2nd with a walk to Sarah Clark. Clark would then score with an RBI delivered by Lauren Winters on a fielders choice.

Abbey Himes led off the 3rd with an inside the park Home Run. Ava Cherico then doubled, Jordy Best walked and both scored on Brenna Campbell’s double. Campbell was driven in by Brenna Copenhaver and Copenhaver would score to make the score 9-0.

Clarion would add 5 more in the 4th inning with a double by Himes, a walk to Cherico, a double by Best and a double by Campbell and a single by Rebecca Ketner to make the final 14- 1  in 5 innings.

Kylee Beers and Cassidy McCray for Clarion.  Clark Electric is now 4-0 on the season.
