Basketball Round-up: Bobcats Go 1-1, Lady Cats 0-2 On Week (12/24/17)

The Clarion Bobcat Boys Basketball Team went 1-1 last week, downing visiting Cranberry 64-40, on Wednesday (December 20th), and falling in a close 76-73 contest, at home, to North Clarion, on Friday (December 22nd). The Lady Cats dropped both of their contests,dropping a 55-31 road decision to Cranberry on Tuesday (December 19th) and falling to homestanding North Clarion 74-44 on Friday.

In the Boys game against Cranberry, the Bobcats led 14-10 after one, 31-25 at the half and 49-31 after three.

Cameron Craig led all scorers with 22 point, Austin Hummell added 16 and Nick Frederick added eight.

Dan McQuaide had 14 for the Berries.

Craig had a game high 24 against the Wolves, in Friday’s game. Hummell followed with fourteen. North Clarion led 23-10 after one, 41-30 at the half and 58-53 after three. Nathan

Banner led the Wolves with eighteen.

K. K. Girvan and Kate Constantino led the Lady Cats, with 10 points apiece against Cranberry.

The Berries led 14-6 after one, 21-15 at the half and 34-22 after three.

Girvan led Clarion with 12 points against the Lady Wolves, followed by Wendy Beveridge with 11, Ali Troese wit 10 and Constantino with nine.

The Lady Wolves led 22-10 after one, 38-14 at the half and 54-20 after three. They were led by Tori Oabenrader with 33 and Abby Gatesman with twenty-four.

The Bobcats and Lady Cats will both compete in the Kane Tournament on Wednesday and Thursday (December 27th and 28th).
