Lady Cats Basketball Team Downs Clarion-Limestone, Bounces Back From Losses Earlier In The Week (01/29/18)

The homestanding Clarion Area Lady Cats downed Clarion-Limestone 67-46, on Friday (January 26th).

Clarion was led by Wendy Beveridge’s 30 point effort. Beveridge came out on fire, scoring 14 points, while draining two of her three treys, in the first quarter. Kate Constantino also had a big night for the Cats with 17 points. Sadie Rudesyle chipped in with eight points.

Clarion led 25-12 after one, 43-20 at halftime and 57-35 after three.

Morgan Clark and Maddie Craig each had sixteen points to lead the Lady Lions.

The win was a comeback from two earlier losses in the week for the Lady Cats.

On Monday (January 22nd) visiting A-C Valley downed Clarion 63-39.

Beveridge led the Cats with 11 points followed by K. K. Girvan and Constantino who had nine points each.

The Lady Falcons led 19-8 after one, 31-17 at the half and 49-33 after three. Ellie Thompson led all scorers with twenty-three points.

On Wednesday (January 24th), Clarion lost to homestanding Karns City 53-37. Beveridge scored 18 for the Bobcats and Kate Constantino added 13 points and eleven rebounds.

The Lady Gremlins led 15-4 after one, 30-14 at the half and 43-26 through three.

Emily Hegedus led all scorers with 29 points and became Karns City’s all-time leading scorer.
