Boys Basketball: Bobcats’ Season Ends In Consolation Game Loss (03/04/18)

The Clarion Area Bobcats saw their season come to an end with a 60-53 loss to the Brockway Rovers, in the District Nine Class AA Basketball Quarterfinal game, on Friday (March 2nd) at Tippin Gymnasium.

 

The game was tight in the first half, with neither team leading by more than four points at any point. The Rovers led 13-12 after one and 25-23 at halftime. Brockway opened the lead up to eight points, 40-32 late in the third and held a 40-34 lead heading to the final stanza.

The Cats had a one point, 19-18 edge in the fourth to set the final.

Cam Craig finished with a game high 22 points, while Cal German added 12 and Austin Hummell contributed eleven points.

Zane Puhala led Brockway with twenty points.

The Cats end the season at 17-8.
