Volleyball Downs Redbank Valley In Four Sets (09/09/2018)

(By CSZ Sports Writer Kenn Staub)  The Clarion volleyball team hosted Redbank Valley on Tuesday, September 4, downing the visiting Bulldogs in four sets. Redbank edged out Clarion in the first set, 25-21. After that it was all Bobcats, as they took the next three, 25-11, 25-16, and 25-19.

KK Girvan led the Bobcats on the service line, scoring 15 points (one ace). Both Maddie Schill and Hailey Sintobin served for 10 apiece, each recording two aces apiece. Schill and Korrin Burns each record 10 kills, while Sintobin and Dorothy Kalinowski were both good for six. Brenna Campbell had 34 assists.

On defense, Jordan Best hit the floor for a team high 16 digs, followed by Schill with 10. Sintobin had two solo blocks and assisted on another two. Kalinowski also blocked two, assisting on one. Burns had two block assists and Schill one.

The Bobcats played in the Bulldog Invitational Tournament host by Wilson High School in West Lawn on Saturday, September 8. On Tuesday, September 11 they are scheduled to host Karns City (6:00PM) and on Thursday, September 13 the team travels to North Clarion (6:00PM).
