On a chilly fall morning in Kane, PA, the Clarion Area Bobcat Junior High girls and boys competed against 14 other cross country teams representing the best of the best runners in Northwest PA.  This race was the conclusion to another successful Bobcat Junior High cross country season.

Seventh grader, Gia Babington, fresh off a 1/100th of a second 2nd place finish at the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference on October 17th had retribution on her mind as she met the same competition in Kane.  Babington came in second place at the invitational but was able to sprint past the KSAC champion with a win by over 2 seconds.  The Bobcat girls finished 5th out of 15 teams with Lauren Lerch, Maya Wilshire, Madison Baker, Mercedes Cunningham and Grace Troese rounding out the girls scoring for Clarion.

The Bobcat boys had a solid season and culminated the season with four runners on the team at the invitational, not enough to score as a team.  The team worked hard all season and was able to finish strong in Kane.  Seth Weckerly led the Bobcat boys followed by Jack Franchino, Ryan Altman and Blaise Cunningham.
