WPAL to host Mud/Obstacle Run in Treasure Lake (05/07/19)

The Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League, Inc (WPAL) is thrilled to announce that for the first time ever, the WPAL Wicked Warrior will take place.

This event is a Mud Run / Obstacle Course with a Main Course, spanning just over 5.5 miles, an Intermediate Course, covering 2 Miles, and a Kid’s Obstacle Course. This event will take place in Treasure Lake on the course utilized for the race named “The Almighty.”

Treasure Lake, located in DuBois, PA  will host the run on Saturday, July 27th 2019. Registration will open at 9:00 a.m.; first phase will be released at 10:00 a.m.. WPAL Executive Director Aaron Beatty said, “We couldn’t be more excited to bring this event to the DuBois Area! The 120 foot Slip and Slide is going to be EPIC!”

The cost will be $25 per runner if registered by May 31. After May 31st, cost will be $30. There will be a $50 “preferred runner” option for runners wishing to start in the first 3 waves of the race. Wave 1 will be released at 10 am, Wave 2 at 10:15, and Wave 3 at 10:30. All other runners will be released at 10:45. The finish line will take place on a 120+ Foot Slip and Slide!

There will also be live music all day including DJs, Live Bands, and more! There will be concessions and food trucks on site providing tasty dishes to the public.  A Beer Tent will also be available for those interested and of age. The general public is welcome to come watch the competitors or enjoy the live music and Food/Beverage options.
