Golf Roundup: Jackson Fox Ties For Medalist Honors To Lead Bobcat Boys To Mega Match Win,Several Girls Compete In Their Mega Match (09/04/19)

Clarion Area’s Jackson Fox tied Clarion-Limestone’s Hayden Siegel for medalist honors, with each firing a 38, in the KSAC Boys Mega Match at Hi-Level Golf Course, on Tuesday (September 3rd), leading the Cats to the team victory.

Josh Craig was one stroke off the pace with a 39, to finish 3rd. Mitch Geiger and McKayla Kerle each posted 45’s to finish in a three-way tie for 6th. Lake Staub and Kyle Porciello each shot a 46, to finish in a four-way tie for 9th. Kyle’s total wasn’t included in the team score.

The Cats finished with a 213 total. The rest of the Top 5 teams included: Moniteau (227), Clarion-Limestone (241), Keystone (261) and Venango Catholic (304).

The Bobcats lead in team standings for the season with 44.0 points. Moniteau is second at 41.0. The rest of the top five include Clarion-Limestone at 35.0, Keystone at 29.0 and Cranberry at 24.0.

Fox and Craig are in the Top 5 in the season’s individual standings, with Fox in 4th at 211 and Craig in 5th at 212. Siegel is in 1st place at 198.

The Clarion Girls competed in a KSAC Mega Match, the same day, at Clarion Oaks.

Rachel Howard finished in 5th place, with a 59, to pace Clarion. Amanda Matus shot a 62, Olivia Kiser shot a 64, Maya Patterson had a 67, Allison Acey carded a 71 and Laura Winters finished with a 76. The Lady Cats don’t compete for team standings.

The next KSAC Boys Mega Match will be Tuesday (September 10th) at Wanango Country Club. The next KSAC Girls Mega Match will be Monday (September 9) at Hi-Level Golf Course.
