Lions Boys Soccer Continues Successful Season With Victory Over Keystone (10/01/19)

The Clarion-Limestone Lions Boys Soccer Team met up in Keystone for their third game against the Panthers, on Monday (September 30th) at Knox.

Ryker Bingham was the first to score off a perfectly placed ball by Beau Verdill. Beau Verdill had another assist to Paul Leonhardt for the second goal. Beau Verdill then added a goal of his own to give the Lions a 3 point lead. Beau Verdill had his second goal of the game with the assist coming from Austin Coull.

Goalie Reese Geiger

Cody Whitling had an assist from a throw in to a Paul Leonhardt for a goal. Beau Verdill had another assist to another Leonhardt goal. Defender Nicholas Schweitzer was credited for an assist on Verdill’s third goal of the game.

Halftime score Lions 7 Panthers 0.

Ryker Bingham had his second goal of the game. Verdill was able to add another goal to his tally for the night, with the assist coming from NateMegnin.

The final Lions’ goal was scored by Ben Murtha, with Leonhardt on the assist.

Despite the stellar performance by the Lions’ defense and goalie, Koby Buzard got one in for thePanthers.

Final score: Lions 10 – Panthers 1.

The Lions travel to DuBois Central Catholic Wednesday, October 2nd for a 4:00 game.
