Ethan Rex, Eli Nellis And Dylan Smail Help Penn Ohio To Monster Mash Tournament Title (12/09/19)

Local Baseball players, Ethan Rex, Eli Nellis and Dylan Smail helped their Penn Ohio Team win the Elite 11-Under Championship in the Monster Mash Double Play Tournament, held at the beautiful Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center in Sandusky, Ohio, on Saturday, October 19th and Sunday, October 20th. Penn Ohio finished 5-0 during the weekend.

Penn Ohio finished 2-0 in Pool Play on Saturday, defeating the Ohio Spiders 20-1 and then downing the Aces Elite 13-7.

Ethan had multiple hits against the Spiders. He had a double and a an RBI and Dylan drove in a run against the Aces.

Penn Ohio downed Buckeye Baseball Club 11-1, in their quarterfinal match-up, on Sunday morning. Ethan had a single and an RBI in that game.

Penn Ohio came out victorious in their 12:30 semifinal contest, with Ohio Elite North, by an 11-2 margin. Ethan singled and drove in a run in that game.

The championship game was a re-match between Penn Ohio and their opening Pool Play opponent Ohio Spiders. Penn Ohio came out in top by a 12-2 score to claim the tournament title. Ethan had two hits, including a double and Eli had an RBI.
