Bobcat 5K Trail Run and Kids 1/2 Mile Race Scheduled For Saturday August 1st At Clarion County Park! (07/13/20)

The Clarion Area Cross Country Booster Club is proud to sponsor the Bobcat 5K Trail Race, through the grass and trails of scenic Clarion County Park. The event is slated for Saturday, August 1st, with a 9 AM start. On-site registration will begin at 7:30 AM. You can also register for the event now at www.smileymiles.com. 

DJ Gavin Hoover will keep you entertained and up to date with all that is going on with medals for the overall top finishers, as well as age group winners. 

Without having the typical Quad Series which culminates with the Ice Cream race in Grove City this year, this a great opportunity for the high school or open runner to get a chance to race and it supports the Clarion Cross Country Team.

Following the 5K will be the Kids’ Half Mile Race. Similar to the style seen at the Quad Series and done following some Varsity cross country meets, our elementary runners can race on a half mile course where parents and spectators can see them and cheer the entire time. The kids’ race is expected to start at 9:40 AM,  previous to the 5K awards.

Elementary runners may choose which race they want to enter. Cost for the race, a primary fundraiser for the cross country team, are $30 for the 5K and $12 for the kids race.
