McKayla Kerle Summer Season And Tournament Champion On Great Lakes Junior Golf Tour, Brother Kameron Also Has Fine Showing (Posted 08/18/20)

Clarion Area Golfer McKayla Kerle and younger brother Kameron, daughter and son of Bobcats and Lady Cats golf coaches Jay and Jackie Kerle, had fine showings in the summer golf season in Erie.

McKayla who played on the Great Lakes Junior Golf Tour, was the season’s division champion in the 15-Under Age Division, winning six out of eight tournaments.

McKayla also took first place in the two-day 36 hole Championship Tournament, played at Whispering Woods Golf Club and the Kahkwa Club.

(As a freshman in 2019, McKayla finished second in the District 9 Class AA Girls Championships and qualified for and competed in the PIAA West Regionals.)

Kameron Kerle also played on the Tour. His best finish was second. At thirteen, he was one of youngest players. Kameron finished the season in fifth place overall, while also finishing fifth at the Tour Championship.
