Bobcat Boys Tie Lions For First Place In KSAC Meet At Clarion Oaks, Two Lady Cats Compete In Girls Meet At Foxburg (Posted 09/16/20)

The Clarion Area Bobcats Boys Golf Team carded a 232 to tie Clarion-Limestone for the team win on Tuesday (September 15th), at Clarion Oaks Golf Club. The rest of the Top 5 in team standings included Moniteau (252), Venango Catholic (273) and forest Area (275).
Five Bobcats finished in the Top 10. Jackson Fox shot a 43 to finish in fifth place, while teammates Devon Lauer and McKayla Kerle each carded a 45 to tie for sixth. Owen Kriebel had a 46 to tie A-C Valley/Union’s Brock Weigle for eighth.
Clarion-Limestone’s Hayden Siegel was the medalist with a 35, while fellow Lion Hayden Callen fired a 40 for second place. Moniteau’s Jacob Felsing and Dawson Wallace each recorded a 42 to finish in a tie for third place.
Two Clarion golfers competed in the Girls’ Match at Foxburg Country Club. Lady Cat Emily Troese shot a 55 to tie A-C Valley’s Evie Bliss for fourth place, while Delaney McNamara shot a 72.
Moniteau’s Mariska Shunk carded a 50 for first place. Cranberry’s Kendell Findlay had a 53 for second and Moniteau’s Brittany Ritts had a 54 for third.
Moniteau was first in team standings with a 161, Cranberry was second with a 184 and Keystone with a 190 was third. Clarion, Keystone and Clarion-Limestone do not compete in the team race.
