Volleyball: Lady Cats Down Lady Lions (Posted 09/30/20)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats Volleyball Team downed homestanding Clarion-Limestone 3-0 (27-17, 25-11, 25-6) on Tuesday (September 29th).

Jordan Best 14 points (3 aces), 2 aces and a pair of digs. Erica Selfridge had scored 11 points (5 aces), while registering 8 kills and two digs. Korin Burns had 10 points (3 aces), 15 kills and three digs.

Brenna Campbell scored 8 points (4 aces), while dishing out 24 assists to go along with 2 digs and a kill. Adia Needham had 8 points and one assist. Payton Simko registered 5 points (2 aces), 5 kills and a dig. Ava Kiser had 4 points (1 ace) and a pair of digs. Kyara Girvan recorded 2 point (2 aces), 5 kills and 2 digs. Noel Anthony had an assist.

The Clarion Junior Varsity also won their match, downing the Lady Lions 2-0 (25-4, 25-11).

Grace Ochs scored 18 points (9 assists), to go along with 2 kills and a dig. Taylor Alston had 6 points (2 aces), 7 assists, a kill and a dig. Gia Babington scored 5 points (2 aces) and had a dig.

Jordyn Smith scored 3 points (2 aces). Bailey Rupert scored 3 points (2 aces) and registered a kill. Brianna Pierce had 2 points (2 aces), 2 kills and a dig. Lauren Lerch had one ace. Mecedes Cunningham and Paola Lopez each had a kill.

The Lady Cats will host DuBois tonight, Wednesday (September 30th). The Junior Varsity match will begin at 6:00PM, with the Varsity Match to follow.
