Clarion-Limestone Boys Soccer Finishes The Regular Season With Two Wins (Posted 10/20/20)

The boys traveled to Brookville on Thursday, Oct 15th.

The first goal of the game came from Beau Verdill.  Nate Megnin was next to score from a corner kick.

Bailee Verdill had the assist on Beau Verdill’s next goal.  Brookville was next to score before Don Cunningham could get the ball to Beau Verdill for his third goal.  Brookville scored two in a row before halftime making the score 4-3 with Lions in the lead.

Ryker Bingham was next to score off a free kick from near midfield.  Brookville scored again to keep the game within a point.  Beau Verdill scored again off of a penalty kick. 

Brookville answered that goal with two consecutive goals to tie the game at 6.

Forty nine seconds into overtime, Bailee Verdill was able to get the ball in front of Brookville’s net for Beau Verdill to score the game winning point.

Final score Lions 7 – Brookville 6

On Monday, October 19th, the Lions traveled to East Forest to meet up with the Fires.

The final score of the  game was: C-L 15 – Forest 0
