Bobcat Harriers Compete In Six-Team Meet In Brookville Posted 10/23/20)

The Clarion Area Cross Country Team competed in a six-team event, at Brookville on Thursday (October 23rd). In addition to the Cats and host Raiders, team from Brockway, North Clarion, Cranberry and Karns City competed.

Gavin Hoover (17:50) and Bella Scott (22:15), each finished in second in their races.

Bella was the only Lady Cat to compete. Also competing for the Bobcat Boys were: Keagan Phillips (19:51) who finished thirteenth; Phillip Bartley (20:40) who was in twenty-first place and Owen Wilson (26:45) for forty-second place.

Cranberry’s Matt Woolcock (17:20) was the Boys medalist, and North Clarion’s Rachel Bauer (21:54) won the Girls’ race.    2 Hoover, Gavin Clarion Area 17:50 1

The rest of the Boys’ Top Ten included: Calvin Doolittle from Brookville – third; Christian Miller from Cranberry – fourth; Kaine McFarland from North Clarion – fifth; Conor Marterella from Cranberry – sixth; Micah Williamson from Brockway – seventh; Collin Zerbe from Cranberry – eighth; Avery Keenan from Cranberry – ninth; and Aiden Thomas from North Clarion – tenth.

The rest of the Girls’ Top Ten included: Amber McAninch from Brookville – third; Brynn Siegel from North Clarion – fourth; Sadie Shofestall from Brookville – fifth; Emma Buckley from North Clarion – sixth; Emily Martz from Brookville – seventh; Kayla Aaron from North Clarion – eighth; Jordan Montgomery from Cranberry – ninth; and Jordyn Hendrickson from North Clarion – tenth.

The Bobcats had no entrants in the Junior High races.

Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner (12:04) won the Boys’ race, while Brookville’s Erika Doolittle (13:31) finished first in the Girls’ contest.
