Lady Cats Volleyball Team Downs DuBois (01/10/20)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats Volleyball Team defeated the visiting DuBois Lady Beavers in straight sets (25-20, 25-12, 25-10), on Wednesday (September 30th).

As usual there were a number of solid contributors for Clarion. Brenna Campbell registered 13 points (2 aces), 31 assists and three digs. Korrin Burns had 16 kills, 5 digs, and 3 points (1 ace). Payton Simko had 11 points (1 ace) and a pair of kills. Erica Selfridge had 10 kills, 4 digs and two points. Jordan Best recorded 6 points (1 ace), an assist and three digs.

Noel Anthony scored 5 points (1 ace) and had three digs. Ava Kiser scored 3 points and had a dig. Aryana Girvan had 3 kills and two digs and Adia Needham registered 3 kills.

The Clarion Junior Varsity also won their match in straight sets (25-14, 25-20)

Gia Babington scored 9 points (1 ace), and had 3 kills and seven digs. Grace Ochs registered 8 points (2 aces), 3 kills and four digs. Taylor Alston had 6 points (1 ace), a kill, 9 assists and five digs.

Jordyn Smith recorded 3 points (1 ace) and three digs. Paola Lopez had 2 points, 3 kills and a dig. Bailey Rupert had 3 kills, 1 point and one dig. Brianna Pierce had 3 digs and a point.

The Lady Cats will host Karns City tonight, Thursday, October 1st.
