Volleyball: Lady Cats Defeat Fires (Posted 10/09/20)

The Clarion Area Lady Cats traveled to East Forest High School in Marienville, on Thursday (October 8th), and came away with a three set (25-2, 25-5, 25-3), while the Clarion Junior Varsity also won in straight sets (25-11, 25-7).

Jordan Best had a strong match, scoring 17 points (7 aces) and handing out an assist. Brenna Campbell had 15 points (7 aces) and ten assists. Adia Needham delivered 10 points (4 aces) and a kill. Payton Simko scored 9 points (5 aces), to go along with 2 kills and a dig.

Korrin Burns had 7 points (3 aces) and had six kills. Ava Kiser registered 5 points (4 aces) and a kill. Noel Anthony had an ace and a pair of assists.

Bailey Rupert had a big game for the Lady Cat JVs, with 9 points (6 aces) and a kill. Paola Lopez scored 8 points (5 aces). Taylor Alston had 6 points (4 aces), 6 assists, a kill and a dig.

Makenzie Aaron scored 5 points (3 aces), Gia Babington had 3 points (2 aces) and four kills, Grace Ochs recorded 2 points (1 ace), 3 kills and a dig and Brianna Pierce finished with 2 aces and an assist.

The Lady Cats will visit North Clarion on Tuesday (October 13th) and host Moniteau on Thursday (October 15th).
