Volleyball: Lady Cats Down Lady Berries (Posted 10/15/20)

The visiting Clarion Area Lady Cats downed the Cranberry Lady Berries in three sets, 25-15, 25-10, 25-19, in KSAC Volleyball action, on Wednesday (October 14th).
Erica Selfridge had a strong all-round match, with 9 points (1 ace), 10 kills and a dozen digs. Also having big matches were Korrin Burns and Brenna Campbell. Korrin scored 8 points (5 aces), to go along with 14 kills and four digs. Brenna recorded 8 points (1 ace), 35 assists, 4 digs and a pair of kills.
Jordan Best registered 7 points and six digs. Noel Anthony had 5 points (3 aces) and three digs. Payton Simko accumulated 4 points (1 ace), 6 kills and a dig. Ave Kiser had 3 points (1 ace) and thee digs, and Adia Needham had one kill.
The Clarion Area Junior Varsity won in three sets, 23-25, 25-15, 25-17).
Jordyn Smith and Brianne Pierce both came up big in the match. Jordyn recorded 15 points (3 aces), 3 kills and four digs, and Brianne totaled 13 points (6 aces) and seven digs.
Grace Ochs had 5 points (3 aces) 3 kills and six digs. Taylor Alston recorded 5 points (1 ace), 13 assists, 5 digs and a kill. Bailey Rupert registered 5 points (2 aces), 6 kills and a pair of digs.
Gia Babington had an ace, 6 digs and three kills. Paola Lopez had 4 kills and a dig, and Alexis Solalvar recorded a kill.
The undefeated Lady Cats will host the Moniteau Lady Warriors today (Thursday, October 15th).
