District Nine Baseball And Softball Playoff Brackets Set/ Bobcats Open With ECC, Lady Cats Open With Oswayo Valley

District Nine has released their 2021 Baseball and Softball playoff brackets. The Softball quarterfinals will be on Monday, May 24th and the Baseball quarterfinals will be on Tuesday May 25th.

Softball:

In the Class-A Softball quarterfinals, the number 5 seed Clarion Area Lady Cats will open at number 4 seed Oswayo Valley. The winner of that contest will play number 1 seed DuBois Central Catholic on Wednesday,May 26th. The Championship will be held on Monday, May 31st.

Among other local teams, Number 7 seed Clarion-Limestone will travel to Otto-Eldred, to face the number 2 seeded Terrors, in the Class-A quarterfinals while number 1 seed Keystone gets a bye, in the Class-AA quarterfinals.

Baseball:

In the Class-A Baseball quarterfinals the number 3 seed Clarion Bobcats will host number 6 seed Elk County Catholic at Clarion County Park. The winner of that game will face number 2 seed Otto-Eldred in the semifinals, on Thursday, May 27th. The championship game will be held on Monday (Memorial Day), May 31st.

Among other local teams, number 1 seed Clarion-Limestone will have a quarterfinals bye, and will face the quarterfinal winner between number 4 seed Smethport and number 5 seed DuBois Central Catholic, in the semifinals.

In Class-AA, number 9 seed Keystone will have a play-in game, at Port Allegany, facing the number 8 seed Gators on Monday, May 24th. The winner of that game will face number 1 seed Johnsonburg in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, May 24th. Number 3 seed Redbank Valley will host number 6 seed Kane at Alcola Park in their quarterfinal matchup match-up.
