Clarion-Limestone Lions Defeat Forest Area Fires In 2021 Season Opener

The Clarion-Limestone Lions Boys’ Soccer Team opened their 2021 season with an 8-1 victory over the Forest Area Fires in an Upper Allegheny Valley Soccer League (UAVSL) match, on Thursday, September 9th.

Bailee Verdill had the first 3 goals of the game. Cody Whitling scored the 4th goal. Thomas Uckert had the 5th goal of the game, followed by Wyatt Boyden with the assist  from Bailee Verdill.

The halftime score was Clarion-Limestone 6 – Forest Area 0

In the second half, Bailee Verdill got the ball to Nate Megnin who scored. Brock Smith scored the final goal for C-L   Forest was able to get one in before the game was over.

The final score was: Clarion-Limestone 8 – Forest Area 1

Clarion-Limestone has a busy three game week coming . . . Monday (September 13th) at Karns City at 5:00PM; Wednesday (September 15th) at home against Keystone at 6:00PM; and Thursday (September 16th) at Redbank Valley at 4:00PM.
