Clarion Downs Union In KSAC Volleyball Action

The Clarion Area Bobcats traveled to Union on Tuesday (October 19th) and came away with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-11. 25-16) Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference win.

Adia Needham led the scoring for the Cats, with 16 points (3 aces), while also adding 4 kills and two digs. Noel Anthony followed with 9 points (2 aces). She dished out 19 assists and had 2 kills, and three digs. Jordan Best served for 8 points (3 aces), to go along with 5 digs and a kill. Korrin Burns had 7 points (3 aces), 11 kills and three digs.

Grace Ochs had 6 points (2 aces). Aryana Girvan registered 2 points, both aces, 7 kills and two digs. Payton Simko had an ace, 4 kills and a pair of digs. Natalie Durish scored a point and had two digs. Paola Lopez registered a kill.

The Bobcat Junior Varsity won their match 2-0 (25-7, 25-7).

Sophie Babington had 13 points (7 aces), 2 kills and two digs. Gia Babington recorded 8 points (3 aces), a kill and four digs. Natalie Durish scored 7 points (2 aces) and had a dig. Hadlee Campbell contributed 5 points (2 aces), 3 kills and a dig. Alicyn Burford scored 5 points (2 aces), to go along with a kill.

Emily Mahle scored a point and had a dig. Grace Ochs added 3 assists and a pair of digs, Taylor Alston had 5 assists, a kill and a dig, and Brenna Armstrong contributed two kills.

The Bobcats are scheduled to visit Redbank Valley today, Wednesday (October 20th).
