Bella Scott And Other Local Harriers Headed To States After Fine Showing At Districts

The 2021District Nine Class-A Cross Country Championships were held at Ridgway, on Saturday, October 30th, and Clarion Area’s Bella Scott is headed to the PIAA State Meet, at Hershey, tomorrow (Saturday, November 6th) by virtue of her 7th place finish in the Girls’ race.
Bella will be joined by a number of other area runners at States.
Clarion-Limestone will send three runners: Morgan McNaughton, who was 6th in the Girls’ Race, and Logan Lutz and Ty Rankin, who finished 6th and 9th respectively, in the Boys’ race.
North Clarion is sending for runners: Kaine McFarland who was 3rd and Aiden Thomas who finished 5th in the Boys’ Race, and Brynn Siegel who finished 5th and Jordyn Hendrickson who was 10th in the Girls’ Race.
Coudersport’s Kevin Sherry finished first in the Boys’ Race and Jenna Gregory from Smethport was the Girls’ Champion.
Also, the first and second place teams in the District Nine Meet, advance to states. Cranberry’s First Place Team in the Boys’ and Girls’ races and Elk County Catholic’s second place teams in both races, advanced. Clarion-Limestone was third and North Clarion fourth in the Boys’ Race, while Clarion-Limestone was fifth and North Clarion was sixth in the Girls’ Race.
Congratulations to Bella, Morgan, Jordyn, Brynn, Logan, Tyler, Kaine, Aiden and all the District Nine State Qualifiers!!!! Have a great race at Hershey!!!!
