Bobcat Junior High Wrestlers Finish Fourth At Port Allegany Tournament

The Clarion Area Bobcat Junior High wrestlers had a good showing at the Port Allegany Junior High Tournament on Saturday (January 15th), placing fourth out of twelve teams. The Bobcats trailed only first place Bellefonte, second place Port Allegany and third place St. Marys.

Jake Henry won the championship at 132, going 5-0 on the day.

The Bobcats had three second place finishes: Brady McKinley at 124, with a 4-1 record; Ethan Rex at 140, who finished 4-1 record; and Matt Alston at 172, with a 3-1 mark.

 Coming away with a third place finish was Jimmy Kerr, who was 2-2 for the tournament.

Other wrestlers competing for the Bobcats included: Jacob Naser, Hayden Weber, Kaydin Edmonds, Owen Green and Ben Naser. The coaches are Braun Gourley and Ashby Diaz.

The team is currently 4-0 in dual meets.
