Boys Basketball: Bobcats Down Warriors 62-48

Led by Christian Simko’s twenty-five points, the Clarion Area Bobcats downed the homestanding Moniteau Warriors 62-48, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conferenc basketball action, on Thursday (January 13th).

The Cats had two other players in double-figures, Gabe Simko with 15 and Dawson Smail with eleven.

Clarion led 16-7 after one. The Warriors had a one-point 19-18 edge in the second, giving the Cats a 34-26 halftime edge. With a 9-6 Clarion edge in the third, the Bobcats held a 43-32 lead heading to the last stanza. The Cats’ 19-16 advantage in the fourth set the final.

Also contributing to the scoring column for the Bobcats were Devon Lauer with 7 points, and Ryan Alston and Derek Smail with two apiece.

Ryan Jewart and Kyle Pry led the Warriors with 13 and 11 points respectively.
