Clarion Head Coach Lee Weber had this to say about the Bobcats, “It was an exciting match to end an exciting season!

“After going winless last season, we finished with a solid 10-10 record with only 8-10 wrestlers weighing in for any match.  None of our wrestlers last year had a winning record but this year we had 7!  The 7 wrestlers include Logan Powell 25-2, Mason Gourley 21-5, Breckin Rex 17-9, Caleb Edmonds 18-8, Logan Edmonds 15-8, Chesney Boggess 5-2, and Josh Beal 20-7.

“Ashton Rex 7-13, Holden Sparks 3-12, Seth Weckerly 4-5, and Zane VanTassel 0-0 are the rest of the team.  All wrestlers wrestled hard tonight but Breckin Rex came through big in a close match at 160 by pinning his opponent for the needed 6 points!  Holden Sparks saved us a team point by not allowing a tough Punxsy wrestler to pin him.

“The Edmonds brothers were on the losing end but wrestled hard in 2 exciting matches.

“Mason Gourley totally controlled his opponent in his 9-0 win!  Next event will be next Saturday at Clarion University for District 9 wrestling!”

(Way to go, Cats!!!! Have a great District 9 tournament!!!!)
