Bobcat Golfers Claim First KSAC Mega Match Of 2022

The Clarion Area Golf Team came out victorious on their home links, Clarion Oaks Golf Course, in the first Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) Boys Mega Match of 2022, on Monday, August 15th.

The three-time defending KSAC Champions claimed the first four spots, as they finished with a 208, thirty-three strokes ahead of second place Moniteau (241).

Rounding out the Top 5 were North Clarion (250), Cranberry (251) and Clarion-Limestone (252)

Lucas Mitrosky earned Medalist Honors, for the Cats with a 38. Kameron Kerle and Devon Lauer finished in a tie for second place, two strokes off the lead at 40. McKayla Kerle shot a 42 for fourth place.

Avery Kline finished in fifteenth, with a 48 and Tanner Miller shot a 40 to finish in a six-way tie for eighteenth for the Bobcats.

Rounding out the individual Top 10 were: Karns City’s Chloe Fritch and Moniteau’s Jacob Felsing in a tie for fifth at 43; Zeelan Hargenrader from North Clarion sixth, with a 44; Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner from Cranberry and Ethan Carll from North Clarion in a tie for eighth at 45; and Clarion-Limestone’s Nick Aaron and Jordan Hesdon, Cranberry’s Dane Wenner and Moniteau’sDawson Wallace in a four-way tie for tenth at 46.

There were fifty-one golfers in the field.

The next Boys Mega Match will be played at Hi-Level Golf Course on Tuesday, August 23rd.
