Clarion Area Volleyball Team Competes In Prestigious Bulldog Invitational

The Clarion Area Volleyball Team participated in the Bulldog Invitational on Saturday (September 10th), at Wilson High School in West Lawn. The tournament features quality competition from around the state, with some top schools from all classifications competing.

Competing in pool play, the Bobcats opened play downing Bald Eagle (25-17, 25-23). They split with Bishop Shannahan (9-25, 25-21).

They dropped two to Bethlehem Catholic (9-25, 22-25) and fell to State College (15-25, 19-25).

The Bobcats had some strong individual performances. Aryana Girvan registered 18 kills and eighteen digs. Hadlee Campbell had 14 kills and eleven digs.

Grace Ochs dished out 24 assists, to go along with ten digs. Bri Pierce had nineteen digs.

Taylor Alston contributed 17 assists and 4 aces, while Adia Needham and Sophie Babington had 8 and 7 kills respectively.

Clarion will host Keystone on Tuesday (September 13th).
