Clarion Area Volleyball Team Downs Cranberry In Straight Sets

The Clarion Area Bobcat Volleyball Team opened their 2022 campaign with a straight set (25-21, 25-19, 25-17) victory over the homestanding Cranberry Berries, on Tuesday (September 6th).

Grace Ochs had 10 service points (5 aces), 15 assists and a dig. Taylor Alston had 8 points (3 aces), 11 assists, 7 kills and three digs. Aryana Girvan had 10 kills, 7 points (3 aces), and four digs.

Adia Needham had 3 points (1 ace) and four kills. Hadley Campbell had 4 points (3 aces), 4 kills and four digs. Sophie Babington scored 3 points (2 aces), to go along with a kill and a dig. Bri Pierce registered 5 points (1 ace), 8 digs and an assist. Brenna Armstrong and Marley Kline had 3 and two kills respectively.

The Bobcat Junior Varsity also won in straight sets (25-19, 25-11).

Anna O’Toole scored 11 points and Rhi Copenhaver had seven.

The Bobcats will host Redbank Valley on Thursday (September 8th).
