Cross Country: Bobcat Boys Fall To Berries
The Clarion Bobcat Varsity Boys Cross Country Team fell to the visiting Cranberry Berries 19-44 at the Clarion County Park Course on Wednesday (October 4th).
Jonas Wilshire was the Cats’ top finisher, coming in second with a time of 19:03.39. The rest of Bobcats’ top five runners included Josh Turner in Ninth, Caleb Turner in eleventh, Ben Lambert in fourteenth and Nathan Frederick in fifteenth. Other Clarion runners included Ky Clark, Ben Aaron and Owen Wilson.
Cranberry’s Dalton Wenner finished in first place with a time of 18:52.97.
There was no Varsity Girls team score, as Clarion had only one runner, Cecylia Bowser who finished eighth with a 31:23.56 time. Cranberry’s Kayla Hanna finished first with a time of 22:00.62.
Maddie Schill was the top Clarion runner in the Junior High Girls race, finishing third in a time of 13:46.54. Maggie Snodgrass, Callie Snodgrass, Emily O’Toole and Karlee Mahle finished fourth through eighth respectively and Kara Wilson was tenth. Other Bobcat runners included Ashlyn Clark and Juliet Diehl.
Cranberry’s Grace Hess finished in first place, with a time of 11:55.51.
Clarion’s Chris Kim finished fifth in the Junior High Boys race, with a time of 11:25.22. Anthony Bartley was sixth, Wyatt Aaron was eighth and Michael Troese finished ninth.
Cranberry’s Elias Fox finished first, with a time of 10:38.37.
The Bobcats will compete in the Ridgway Invitational on Saturday (October 8th).
