Volleyball: Bobcats Down Wolves

The Clarion Area Bobcats Volleyball Team defeated the homestanding North Clarion Wolves 3-0 (25-12), 25-13, 25-15), on Tuesday (October 11th). The Bobcat Junior Varsity won their match 2-0 (25-13, 25-10).

Varsity

Grace Ochs had a big night Clarion, with 21 points (5 aces), 25 assists and three digs. Aryana Girvan registered 9 points (3 aces), 11 kills and three digs. Sophie Babington scored 9 points (4 aces), to go along with 2 kills and a pair of digs. Bri Pierce had 6 points (1 ace), an assist and nine digs.

Hadlee Campbell contributed 3 points, 6 kills and seven digs. Taylor Alston recorded 7 kills and two digs. Anna O’Toole scored 2 points and had a dig. Adia Needham had an ace, a kill and a dig. And Avery Kline delivered on a kill.

Junior Varsity

Natalie Durish scored 11 points (3 aces) and had two kills and a dig. Natalie O’Toole had 9 points (3 aces), a pair of kills and a dig. Alicyn Burford scored 6 points (2 aces). Kelsey Best registered 4 points (2 aces). Rhiannon Copenhave dished out 9 assists, to go along with 2 points (1 ace), a kill and three digs.

Lauren Brinkley had a pair of aces and Becca Wolbert contributed a kill.

The Bobcats will host DuBois, tomorrow (Thursday, October 13th).
