Volleyball: Clarion Falls To DuBois

The Clarion Area Bobcat Volleyball Team fell to the visiting DuBois Beavers in four sets (26-24, 17-25, 15-25, 25-27), on Thursday (October, 13th). DuBois also won the Junior Varsity match, in three sets (22-25, 25-13, 19-25).
Prior to the match, the Dig Pink Breast Cancer Awareness and Fundraiser Ceremony was held. (A separate article on the ceremony will also be posted.)

Varsity Match
Grace Ochs had a solid night for Clarion, with 8 points (4 aces), 33 assists and thirteen digs. Bri Pierce had 8 points (2 aces) and sixteen digs. Taylor Alston scored 7 points (2 aces), knocked down 3 kills, had an assist and eleven digs. Aryana Girvan registered 12 kills, 3 points and five digs. Hadlee Campbell contributed 11 kills, 10 digs and four points. Adia Needham had 6 digs, 3 kills and one point.
Sophie Babington recorded 2 points and four digs. Natalie Durish had two points, a kill, and three digs. Marley Kline had three kills.
Junior Varsity Match
Rhiannan Copenhaver had 12 points (1 ace), a kill, 6 digs and fourteen assists for the Bobcats. Durish had 4 points (2 aces), 4 kills and seven assists. Anna O’Toole scored 4 points, knocked down 5 kills and had nine digs.
Lauren Brinkley contributed 6 points (3 aces) and three kills. Alicyn Burford scored 4 points (2 aces) and had a kill. Kelsey Best scored 3 points (1 ace) and gathered 9 digs. Alivia Diehl had two kills and Brinley Kiskadden had a dig.
The Bobcats with host Karns City next Tuesday (October 18th), during Senior Night.
