Clarion Area Bobcat Aryana Girvan Named To 2022 Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Class-A All-State Team, Keystone’s Leah Exley Named To Class-AA Team

Clarion Area’s Aryana Girvan has been named to the 2022 Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association (PVCA) Class-A All-State Team.

Aryana, a 5′-5″ senior, was named as an Outside Hitter. She finished the 2022 campaign with 297 Kills, 185 Digs and 116 service points (29 Aces).

This is Aryana’s third straight All-State Class-A Team selection. She was named Right Side in 2020 and Outside Hitter in 2021.

Aryana closes out a stellar, four year career, in which she was an absolutely major cog on a Bobcats machine, that had a run that she she will remember for the rest of her life.

During her Varsity career, the Bobcats won four Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference (KSAC) Titles (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), three District Nine Class-A Championships (2019, 2020, 2021) and two Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) State Class-A Championships (2020, 2021).

Another local player was named. Keystone’s Leah Exley was selected as an Outside Hitter on the Class-AA Team. This is Leah’s second straight All-State nod, having been named at Outside Hitter on the 2021 Class-AA Team.

Several others from District Nine were also named All-State.

Those named in Class-A include: Elk County Catholic Outside Hitter Tory Newton and a trio from Oswayo Valley, Middle Hitter Olivia Cook, Middle Hitter Avaree Kellert and Setter Trinity Lundy.

Kane’s Miah Anderson was named at Middle Hitter/Outside Hitter in Class-AA.

DuBois has a pair of players named in Class-AAA, Right Side Morgan Pasternak and Outside Hitter Jessica Pfaff.
