Boys Basketball: Bobcats Drop Decision To Lions

The Clarion Bobcats hosted the Clarion-Limestone Lions, before a huge crowd, in a KSAC basketball matchup on Friday (June 13th), with the Lions coming away with a 57-47 win.

Clarion led 12-9 after one. Both teams put up fourteen points in the second, and went to halftime with Clarion leading 26-23. With a 16-13 C-L edge in the third, the score was knotted at 39-all heading to the final stanza. An 18-8 Lions’ edge in the fourth set the final.

Gabe Simko led the Bobcats with sixteen points. Devon Lauer followed with 11, including 2 three-point buckets). Bryce Brinkley had 7 points, with one trey.

Nathan Frederick and Dawson Smail had four points apiece, Owen Kriebel scored on a three-pointer and Derek Smail contributed two points.

Jordan Hedson and Rylie Klingensmith led the Lions with seventeen points each. Klingensmith had three baskets from long range.

Clarion is scheduled to travel to Cranberry on Tuesday (January 17th).
