Bobcats Down Fires In KSAC Boys Basketball Action

The Clarion Bobcats traveled to Marienville, on Thursday (February 9th) and came away with an 84-8 win over the Forest Area Fires, in Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference action.

Clarion led 22-2 after one, 52-6 at the half and 66-8 heading to the fourth.

Gabe Simko and Derek Smail led the Clarion scoring with fifteen apiece. Dawson Smail and Devon Lauer also hit double-figures with eleven. Lauer had one three point bucket.

Dauntae Girvan, Nathan Frederick and Mason Burford had 8 points each, with Frederick canning two from beyond the arc and Burford sinking a trey.

Tanner Miller and Owen Kriebel both added four points.

Mitch Bawden and Zach Carll each had 3 points, with Bawden’s points coming on a trey.

The Bobcats will face Keystone, tonight (Friday, February 10th) as part of the big “Hoops for Hope” celebration.
