Bobcats Fall In KSAC Championship Tournament Girls Semifinal

The Clarion Area Bobcats dropped a 58-24 decision to the Redbank Valley Bulldogs, in the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Championship Tournament Girls semifinals, at PennWest Clarion’s Waldo S. Tippin Gymnasium on Friday (February 17th).

Redbank Valley held an 11-6 lead after one, a 30-10 lead at the half and a 40-17 lead after three.

Taylor Alston led the Cats with eleven points. Sophie Babington and Natalie Durish chipped in with 4 points apiece, with Babington sinking a three-pointer.

Gia Babington and Marley Kline each chipped in two points and Madilyn Bakes contributed one point.

Mylee Harmon and Quinn White led Redbank’s scoring with fourteen points each. White had three buckets from beyond the arc.

The Bulldogs will face Moniteau in the Championship game, tonight (Saturday, February 18th). Tipoff is set for 8:00 pm.

Clarion will travel to Elk County Catholic, next Thursday (February 23rd) for a District Nine – Class A Girls semifinal, with tipoff scheduled for 7:00 pm.
